Refund and Return Policy

At Rovellisse Atelier, we want you to shop with confidence. This Refund and Return Policy explains how we handle returns, refunds, exchanges, defective products, damaged products, incorrect products, order cancellations, and other purchase-related concerns.

This policy applies to products purchased through the Rovellisse Atelier online store.

1. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer protection laws in Canada, Ontario, or your province or territory of residence.

If a product is defective, damaged, incorrect, misdescribed, not delivered, or otherwise subject to a remedy under applicable law, Rovellisse Atelier will assess the issue and provide the legally required remedy.

2. Voluntary Change-of-Mind Returns

In addition to any statutory rights you may have, Rovellisse Atelier accepts eligible change-of-mind returns requested within 14 days of delivery.

The 14-day period begins on the date the order is recorded as delivered by the carrier.

3. Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind return, the item must satisfy all of the following conditions:

  • the return request must be submitted within 14 days of delivery;
  • the item must be unused, unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and undamaged;
  • the item must be free from stains, odours, deodorant marks, makeup, perfume, smoke, pet hair, and signs of wear;
  • all original tags and labels must remain attached;
  • the original packaging, protective materials, accessories, inserts, and included components must be returned where applicable;
  • the item must not be marked as final sale or otherwise excluded from voluntary returns;
  • the return must be approved before the item is shipped back to us.

4. Items Not Eligible for Change-of-Mind Returns

The following items are not eligible for voluntary change-of-mind returns unless they are defective, damaged, incorrect, misdescribed, or otherwise subject to a legal remedy:

  • underwear and intimate apparel;
  • swimwear where the original hygiene protection has been removed or altered;
  • bodysuits;
  • earrings and pierced jewellery;
  • personal care or hygiene-related items;
  • gift cards;
  • customized, personalized, altered, or made-to-order products;
  • items clearly marked as final sale;
  • clearance items clearly marked as final sale.

5. Sale and Promotional Items

Sale, discounted, and promotional items may be returned for change of mind only where they meet all return eligibility requirements and are not identified as final sale.

Your statutory rights regarding defective, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed products continue to apply regardless of whether an item was purchased at a discount.

6. Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Misdescribed Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, incomplete, incorrect, or materially different from its description, please contact us as soon as possible at returns@rovellisseatelier.ca.

Please include:

  • your full name;
  • your order number;
  • the email address used at checkout;
  • a description of the issue;
  • clear photographs or videos showing the problem;
  • photographs of the packaging and shipping label where the concern involves shipping damage or an incorrect shipment.

After reviewing the matter, we may provide a replacement, refund, exchange, prepaid return instructions, reimbursement of reasonable return shipping costs, or another remedy required by applicable law.

7. How to Request a Return

To request a return, email returns@rovellisseatelier.ca before sending any item back. Include your order number, full name, the item being returned, and the reason for the return.

If the return is accepted, we will provide return instructions and the applicable return address. Items returned without prior authorization may be delayed, refused, or returned to the sender, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

8. Return Shipping Costs

For approved voluntary change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for direct return shipping costs.

If the return relates to a defective, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed product, we will assess the matter and, where appropriate or required by law, provide prepaid return arrangements or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

Where a customer arranges return shipping, we recommend using a tracked delivery service and retaining proof of shipment until the return has been fully resolved.

9. Inspection of Returned Products

Returned products are inspected after arrival. A voluntary refund may be denied or reduced where permitted by law if the product does not satisfy the requirements of this policy.

Products that have been worn, washed, altered, damaged, stained, exposed to odours, returned without tags, or returned without required components may not qualify for a full voluntary refund.

10. Refund Method and Processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase unless another method is agreed or required by law.

After a returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds are initiated within a reasonable timeframe after inspection.

Once issued, your bank, card issuer, or payment provider may require additional processing time before the refund appears in your account.

11. Ontario Internet Agreement Cancellation Rights

Online purchases by Ontario consumers may be subject to statutory rules applicable to internet agreements.

Where required by applicable law, we aim to provide required pre-contract information, an opportunity to accept or decline the agreement and correct errors before purchase, and a copy of the agreement or order confirmation in a form that may be retained.

Where a customer has a statutory right to cancel an internet agreement under Ontario law, Rovellisse Atelier will process a valid cancellation and refund in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

12. Partial Refunds

Where permitted by law, partial refunds may apply in circumstances including:

  • only part of an order is returned;
  • the returned item is missing original accessories, tags, packaging, or included components;
  • the returned item shows deterioration beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it;
  • original shipping charges are non-refundable for an eligible voluntary return where permitted by law.

13. Exchanges

We do not guarantee direct exchanges. If you require a different size, colour, or style, you may request a return for an eligible item and place a new order.

If an exchange is offered, it is subject to product availability.

14. Store Credit

In certain circumstances, we may offer store credit as an alternative to a refund. Store credit will be provided only with your agreement unless otherwise permitted by law.

Store credit may be used only through the Rovellisse Atelier online store and is not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

15. Final Sale Products

Items clearly marked as final sale are not eligible for change-of-mind returns, exchanges, or refunds.

This restriction does not limit rights you may have where a product is defective, damaged, incorrect, misdescribed, or otherwise covered by applicable consumer protection law.

16. Orders Returned to Sender

If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal of delivery, failure to collect the parcel, or another issue attributable to the customer, we will contact you regarding available options.

Additional shipping fees may apply where reshipment is requested. Where permitted by law, reasonable shipping costs may be deducted from any refund issued in these circumstances.

17. Late or Missing Refunds

If an approved refund does not appear after the processing period indicated by your payment provider, please contact your bank or payment provider first.

If the refund remains unavailable after completing that step, contact support@rovellisseatelier.ca with your order number.
